I met Grace several years ago, she is my brother-in-law’s fun-loving sister and I met Alex at the engagement session where we explored the winter terrain of Greenwood Beach in Evanston and clinked cocktails at Union Pizza. There they are (first photo below) walking down the street as we finished the engagement session on that unseasonably warm February afternoon. Fast forward to June and we’re standing in the courtyard of Immanuel Lutheran on a perfectly weathered day and there are tables and chairs adorned with beautiful flowers, burlap bows, and delicious eats by The Nomad Food Company including wood-fire grilled pizza, not to mention the desert table complete with a jar of starbursts. Yummmm. The next day was pure joy from the beginning until the end, complete with gorgeous wedding flowers from Flowers Flowers and an amazingly delicious spread by Prarie Grass Cafe. The mood was set by the bride and groom who are so clearly, incredibly in love and so laid back and full of life, there were happy tears, there was roarous laughter, there was unabashed dance floor moves, and there was the most adorable ring boy (I’m a bit biased because I’m also his aunt). Although I am not a wedding photographer, I was thrilled Grace and Alex reached out and gave me the honor of capturing their big day. Congratulations to Grace and Alex, may your life be filled with an ever-increasing love for one another!
